The goal of this album was this…If a listener only had 30 seconds to listen, they would hear the gospel of Jesus Christ!
This album came from a year, in depth study of the New Testament. I bought a new bible and decided to really dive in deep into the NT and throughout the year I had written all over the pages. It was an incredible journey that ended in numerous songs and a relationship with Jesus that was strengthened. About halfway through the process I was looking through the notes and noticed that the word ‘Infinite’ was written throughout. There were two passages that stood out most. The first was Hebrews chapter 13 verse 13,14 and 15 which states,
“Therefore let us go to him outside the camp and bear the reproach he endured. For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come. Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.”
What hit me hard about the passage is this. We are in this life right now, which is FINITE, meaning this life will come to an end. And, yes, our time here may be hard and we should be ready to bear the opposition Jesus did for the sake of the gospel. And the incredible thing is we get to do this with the promise of eternity with Jesus Christ. And during this FINITE time I want to continually offer praise to our INFINITE God. We are “IN” this “FINITE” life and we are made for the “INFINITE” or eternity. With that in mind, our hope is secure in Christ Jesus.
The other passage that struck me hard was Revelation 4:8
“And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say,
“Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!””
All I could think was there is an INFINITE song being sung at all time around the throne of God and how incredible is it that even in our FINITE state we are given the blessing to join in and celebrate!?
I pray this album is a blessing to you. The entire objective was to continually point to Jesus by the use of Scripture. Most of this album is taken from the Word of God. Romans 5, 8, 9 and 12; Matthew 13; John 1, 14 and 15; 1 Corinthians 15; Revelation 4; Hebrews 4; Psalm 46 and many more passages were the inspiration for this album.
